Posting pics with iPhone 8 issue

Phone Pics save as a jpeg, and when I try to upload, I keep getting message that format is not accepted. Ironically a jpg is accepted.  iPhone customer service says I likely need to transfer pics to a computer first and save with different extension. 

If anyone posts pic directly from an iPhone 8, please let me know your method, thanks

 Tapatalk. iPhone 7 and up store pictures in a completely different format to reduce the amount of space they take up on your phone. That format typicall won't work on almost any website or forum I frequent.
