Hey guys,  I moved my blind again to where I have seen a gobbler roost in a certain tree and cross a creek in a certain spot.  Saturday morning he pitched off roost and I had jake and hen out but he stopped about 60 yards away.  He strutted and gobbled for 45 minutes but would not come in.  Thought he would sail right into my decoys.  I tried silent treatment and that didn't work.  Every time I did cluck and purr he would gobble and double gobble.  Maybe he got his but kicked the day before so I wish I had just a hen out.  After moving my blind he wasn't in tree this morning but birds where down valley another 150 yards.  It was a gobble fest and I finally heard one coming my way.  It was a hen and a jake and he came within 20 yards of me but I decided to let him live.  I have a quest now for the of the big boys and I won't give up.  This year so far it has been a humbling but rewarding experience.  Scoot

Hang in there Scoot, I have not seen anything but jakes and hens my last 4 times out. I only heard 1 gobbler and he only gobbled 5 or 6 times.
Spring turkey hunting, I love it so.                FREEDOM IS NOT FREE
