Had a great hunt today immediately had one gobble on the roost but I seem to screw that up pretty quickly, seems to be the story of my season. Fast forward three hours and I heard some gobbles far off. I got to a powerline where I could see 1000 yards in each direction and I could see three gobblers about 500 yards away on a ridge. The terrain was really rough lots of Breyers and steep climbs and it took me about 20 minutes to get there. But it worked out in my favor because I was able to set up in a spot with good cover and call to them. This was a really good one for me, even though it was my smallest bird this year, I was able to fill out my whole report card for the year with two bucks, for those, and two gobblers in North Carolina.
