Took some time with a buddy today to see if we could get him a bow bird, had some action but nothing worked out and he called it. I got on my way home and decided to make a set, it was 4:45p I made my first sequence of calls and a bird gobbles and he's close, I start the soft calls and he hammers back and at 5:03p I Double!!
The dominant bird had a messed up tail as he was strutting in to my "White Headed" decoy BIG PUFFY and I hit him first, bird #2 ran out a bit and turned back to beat on bird 1 and he didn't make it back to him Both good birds with 1 1/16" spurs and the boss had double beards!
