Tagged out in Ohio

Very cold morning, about 27 degrees here. Roosted him last night and got in tight this morning about 2hrs before shooting time. Almost too close, with the full moon could see him in tree about 60yds with his back to me. Didnt gobble until til good light, a couple light tree yelps and he flew down in my lap. Another blessed day.

I'd of scared him off with my snoring, getting there 2 hours before.

I had to cross a big open field and didn't know exactly which tree he was in so I thought I should get in early. Actually saw him about 1 1/2 hours before shooting light but wasn't til he stood up that I could be sure it was him and not a hen. It was cool watching him wake up tho. However I about froze. Didn't really have enough clothes for the conditions.
