Back in the 60s Perry State Forest was called the Perry Reclamation Area and had excellent grouse hunting.  Lots of high walls and scars from previous strip mining but good second growth.  Hunted it often in the 70s.  My father and an aunt were born in McConnelsville. Sorry to hear Kasich has messed it up.  He has been a disappointment. This will be the first year in about 50 I won't hunt OH.  Friend sold his Meigs County land and moved to Lancaster.  I'll miss it. Good luck to all on the 23rd.
