i have been hearing 2 gobble at the palce i am hunting in shelby county. the year started with 5 gobbling, however one of those got a truck ride with me.

Still hearing them gobble.  Just trying to get em.

This past Tuesday morning was cloudy, so the one I've been after didn't gobble until about 6:15.  Got setup close on him and he gobbled about 8 times in the tree.  After flydown a few soft yelps and purrs, plus some scratching in the leaves brought him to 27 steps of me!  Now I'll be moving on to see if the other couple I had heard earlier in the season are still there.

One of my buddies went yesterday and heard nothing at daylight in a place that had 4 birds (that we know of) at the begenning of the season. (One got smacked by me earlier this year.) Finally at 8:30 a bird shock gobbled at a crow and that was it for him.
