Hey guys I have never had a turkey mount before and I have always wanted one. Just was wondering if y'all could give me some info about normal pricing. What is a ball park price I should expect if I was to get a bird mounted?

$800 for the better taxidermists.

I've seen prices from $400 to $1000.  Do your homework and see there work before getting it done.  There is a reason why a few guys were only $400, it showed.  The guy I go to is $675, he does awesome work.  You will probably get good quality work from anyone that is $600 and up, just depends on what you want to spend.

You definitely will get what you pay for when it comes to turkey mounts.
I had a local guy here in Middle Georgia do a flying mount for only $350.
It's embarrassing how bad that mount is.  Horrible work.
Ruined one of my best birds.  Go to a reputable taxidermist that has a lot of
experience mounting turkeys.
600 to 800 is about right for a quality mount.

The low ball prices typically mean that you are getting the same in return.....lowball work.  However, dont just assume that the high end price means high quality.  Look at their work.  I see work proudly displayed on the forums on a regular basis that I would not be happy with.

Take the time to see some of their mounts before you give them a bird. I've seen some terrible mounts over the years. I would hate to kill a bird I wanted to mount and have the bird end up looking terrible.
