Its always good have friends that are tree trimmers LOL  i got these black cherry  burls back in  beginning spring and processed them up  With a little  help of denatured alcohol and the microwave   
was able get few blanks dry lol 

black cherry burl 3in brass slate ,,, this thing got some great figure and burl eyes ,,, all turkey ,,,
