I musta got lucky. I do think that a compact box like David's is gonna sound different than a Cost style just because of the size difference. I play and tune this size call daily as David's are nearly identical in size to my half moons, so I have a feel for the advantages and disadvantages of a compact box.

I haven't heard his LE, but my purpleheart/ cedar and Ebony/poplar are true killers. They sound amazing and always get the responses I need in Missouri. Dave has always messaged me directly to say congrats on your birds and at times been 3 weeks for a response but he's a busy guy loving the obsession of hunting just as much. I haven't heard great things of the LE tho :/
