just clean it and shoot.      wire brush and something to get the oil out.

not sure if i could, but didnt want to hurt it in anyway, for it not to pattern well, brush and shooters choice

I use flitz or chrome polish on a cordless once a year...barrel cleans extremely easy and doesn't really get all that dirty
