Another afternoon bird. My buddy saw them in the field this morning on the way to work. We went back this afternoon and caught them out in a bottom with hens. Sneaked within about 80 yards and called this one in. Told my buddy to shoot, told him to shoot twice, then 3 times. He whispered something about the trigger and was the gun loaded? so I killed him. Found out my buddy was just confused, not familiar with my gun that he was borrowing and very much a novice hunter. He just never pulled the trigger. Lucky for me, as it is an upgrade!
