I've seen a lot of posts here lately on OG asking about filming your own hunts. So I put this video together yesterday showing some affordable options for cameras and equipment, as well as some techniques in the woods to get the shot on video. Hope this helps

Great video , question how do you carry that along with your gun ? Do you use a backpack or something ?

No I have always carried the tripod in one hand and gun in the other. Now I have a sling for my gun finally, so I can shoulder the gun

Great video catman!  This year I'm going to get a little more serious about filming my hunts, and your video was a nice help.  I don't usually hunt out of a blind (sometimes I do under certain circumstances) so self filming is quite the added challenge.

I got a Tactacam for Christmas and I've been using it quite a bit while calling coyotes.  I'm looking forward to getting to use it chasing birds this spring.  I have the 4.0 model which has 2.7k HD resolution at 3x zoom and 1.8k resolution at 5x zoom and no fish eye lens. One touch operation and lots of ways to mount it to your gun or bow.  Battery life they claim is up to 2 1/2 hours on a single charge and easy battery change to go even longer. Check them out for self filming, it may be just what you've been looking for.

Great information, Catman.  Good job, as usual, buddy!
