Any one have one of these? I don't carry much and am thinking about going back to a vest for the added seat. This looks like it will cover my gear, but I am wondering about quality and quietness. Some vest are made of loud material and I remeber hearing that cabelas was guilty of that.

It's a good looking vest and I have looked at it myself. Since I do not have a cabalas close, Ive never gotten the opportunity to try it on.  I ended up going with an ol tom essentials vest, and so far, I love it.   Bought one on here from a guy and bought one on clearance.  It does not replace my super elite, but I'm finding myself liking just carrying a couple of things and it fits my bill.

I ordered one the other day to replace my Ol Tom. Never really liked the layout of the Ol tom and been searching for similar "min type" vest .
Anyway, I should have mine next week and report back my findings.   If this one doesn't work out, I may try the Alps Long Spur next.

I haven't used mine yet, but I have one.  I got mine to replace my ol' tom time and essentials.

Its not a minimalist as the ol' tom, but its pretty bare bones.  Fabric looks very tough and it should last a long time, but it might get a little warm on long hunts.  Big plus over the ol' tom is the box call pocket has a secure latch, and has a compartment built in to quiet the call, but I think its going to rub all the chalk off.  Not a deal breaker.  I'm not real impressed with storage for mouth calls, but it might just take some getting used to.  Not a great spot for strikers either, and not a lot of separate pockets for extra things like a spare facemask and gloves.

I actually wish it had a little more storage and a little less fabric.  I loved the straps only on the ol' tom.

This is a cool looking vest!  I liked my ol tom minimalist, the seat just drove me nuts since the magnets wouldn't hold it back

Is the fabric quiet?

Same problem with mine. I super glued Velcro to the back of the vest and seat bottom to help it.. stays put with the magnets now. But I hunt most the time with the seat off the vest.

Any one else that has some info on the Cabelas Minimalist Vest? seems to be little info out there..

I have the cabelas minimalist. It is a very well made, silent box call pocket and Just enough room to not carry more than you need. The seat is the most comfortable cushion I've ever sat on. I would recommend this vest

very quiet.  Looks to be a cotton denim material.

I actually liked the magnets and found them to be super strong and very easy to use.  I'm not crazy about the seat on the minimalist, but I'm sure its all about getting used to it.

Don't have that one, but I have a very thin, lightweight vest that is very green for the late season when things warm up.  I keep it in my TAV (turkey attack vehicle) and if I am gonna run and gun I slip what i need in the pockets and head out.  The only thing I leave in it at all times is a compass, so I don't forget to have that on hand if I strike out to unfamiliar territory.  A T shirt and that vest is quite cool for afternoon hunts.

Don't know if you are only looking at a vest, but I ditched the vest for a Badlands hip pack and use a lounger type chair. Really like how quick the pack is, and I drop it to my side when I sit. Fast and easy

I do not recall the brand or name.  It is just a cheapo lightweight vest.  I will look at it the next time I get it out.  It  is not built to last, but it will only see a couple hunts a year, so I am not that concerned about durability.
