Mailman

I have not been hunting long but this is the center feather on the fan of my bird also the feather to the left has it also. Color banding that is like the wing. And how do I judge its age? taxidermist said he has seen this before. he was guessing its age at 3-4

Several of the birds I've killed in TN have that band. I don't think it is an age indicator though.

I have killed a few with those white bands. Pretty cool mailman! And judging by the way the tail fan is laying on the ground, I'm 100% sure he is as old as he is gonna get. ;D. Congrats on a good looking turkey!

harvester

I've killed a few myself like that, seems to be fairly common around here.
You can age them most of the time by the length of their spurs.

Killed one last Wednesday like that. If you look close in the pic you can see it. I thought it was pretty cool. Congratulations on the kill!
