Got my Winchester LB XR last night...

I bought my box of Winchester Longbeard XR 3" #6 shot last night. 1 7/8 oz.

Going to run a few through my new Mossberg 835 turkey thug and get the red dot sighted in this weekend. Hope they perform well. My Benelli Supernova really liked them. And for a good price.

I decided to forgo the 3 1/2" shells.  Not looking for the extra punishment.

Great choice on the 835 and Red dot.  I have the same.  Deep clean and polish the barrel.  Sight the Red dot in at 12.5 yards with dove loads for POA/POI.  Then back up to 40 and see what the LB's will do.  Good Luck and keep us posted.  You should have a GREAT combo!
