I started making these to better display certain yelpers.  This one looks really good with Lamar's wingbone.  You can make your own....
I started with some pecan I had already dried. Any wood should suffice. This was about a 3" diameter piece and i cut it to desired height with a mitre saw.  Make sure your cuts are straight so it sits even.  Then blow off any loose particles that are unwanted.  I then spray the sides and top only with an even coat of semi gloss poly.  (I just use the ACE brand).  This will hold the moss, lichen, and other features for the next step.  Make sure it's completely dry.  Then I use a small paint brush to brush on glue.  I use Tightbond II.  Cover the sides and top evenly with a layer of glue. Let dry completely.  Spray again with thicker coat of the same poly and let dry.  It should all be clear in the end. Now you can use a dowel, a nail, or a flexible wire in the center of the stand to hold your call.  I predrilled a tiny hole and hammered in a finishing nail and then bent it to shape. Done.  I leave the bottom unfinished to allow any remaining moisture to escape.  I like the finished product.
Larger ones can be made to hold multiple calls.
