Trying to decide on getting a short box made
From either Darrin Dawkins or Irving Whitt.
Don't think I could go wrong with either.  Going to
Get a Walnut/Walnut or Mahogany/Walnut.  I know
What I want to do is have one from each dawkins and whitt, but wife might kick me out for that.  So if any of
You guys have an opinion on the matter, I would like to hear it.

I have a Walnut/Walnut from Darrin and Whitt and a Walnut/Mahogany from both of them. All are outstanding calls and you will be pleased with any of them. That said, my favorite hunting box call I own is the Dawkins Walnut/Mahogany. Darrin's wait time is a lot longer than Whitt's. If you are wanting it for next spring Whitt would be your choice.

Dawkins Walnut over Mahogany is just plain awesome.  I got mine from him at Unicoi last year.  I don't have a Whitt so can't say.

I recently bought two boxes from Whitt, and the turn around time was right at 2 weeks for both.

in July I contacted Mr Dawkins about a regular size box he said $150-$200 with a 1 1/2 to 2 year wait.

With a wait of 1 1/2 to 2 years, that should allow you plenty of time to find a new wife. If you want one that is. Get them both and trade her in.................................LOL!

Go to Unicoi next Mo. and buy one  no wait they both will be there with calls to sell.
