Hello all. I just inherited some turkey calls from my grandpa. He hasn't passed yet but is in the nursing home and probably won't last long. He definitely will never be able to leave. He's the one who got me started turkey hunting. My grandma was cleaning stuff out and gave this stuff to me. Obviously the box call I know and the crow call. I've never heard of any of the makers. All these calls are super old.

I'm not looking to sell any of them just wanting to know what it is. I would like to know if they are valuable or a collectors items.

The box call was the call he used to call in the first turkey I ever killed. That was 18 years ago. Killed a big jake and caught the turkey hunting bug.

Man I like your grandpa already!  You have some nice classic scratchboxes there.  Looks like he must have favored them.  They all have collector "value" but I believe the sentimental value is far far greater.  Thanks for sharing.  My grandfather also introduced me to the sport many years ago and I lost him last year.  He still sits in the woods with me sometimes.  I just know it.

Great looking old calls. I wish your grandpa the best. love the old pictures on the boxes..you need to fix you a shadow box out of old barn wood to display them..

Those are really neat calls ,  I'd give anything to have my grandad's old turkey calls. I would think someone on here could shine some light on the history of some of those.
Genesis 1:26
Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

Thanks guys.

They definitely mean a lot to me. I really like the shadow box idea. I was trying to think of a way to display them and that's probably what I'm going to do.

I would love to hear if any one else can shed some more light on them.

You got your self a real nice starter collection there. The record may be worth a couple bucks and Jess Hayes box calls can be worth a couple also. I would hunt with them at least once and pass them down to me
