Does anyone here use the leupold vx-1 1-4x20mm scope on their turkey guns. I'm thinking of getting one for my Winchester 1300 and want to know some of the pros and cons of this type optic. Thanks in advance

Has anyone had any issues with eye relief?
I had one on an Encore muzzleloader for several years. Never got whacked but did get "bumped" on the glasses a few times when I was shooting it on 4x.

I still haven't got one yet. Are there any drawbacks when using this scope in thicker timber

No drawbacks at all. I have had a couple of those scopes over the years and that is my favorite. Opt for the heavy crosshair reticle for heavy timber hunting. Really easy to pick up target with this scope.

It's a great scope...I have one on my 870 for deer hunting and have had it for many years with no problems. For turkey hunting I use the old style Nikon turkey pro which looks a lot like the leupold in style. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

I'm pretty sure mine are medium. Might even be lows.I bought them a long time ago. You'll love the setup for turkey .Good luck..
