Nice work Pappy!
A friend makes knives occasionally.  He wrapped the handle in a vine in a kind of Celtic knot looking pattern and then used a black colored epoxy that you can see into to dip over all that.  It's a very cool looking handle for a knife.
I'd post a pic if I could.  I know you could pull it off if you can find a pic.
Great work there!
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

thanks everyone for the kind words, if you could see these blanks before I start working on them you would swear they needed to be thrown in the trash...LOL....but man a few hours later they shine...I use a 3 - 1/2" ceramic belted grinder for cutting the hollow ground in them, and eye ball the straight line down the center....so they are not perfect but they are worthy of coming out of my shop...

Nicely done Pappy, in Holly, Snakewood or Desert Iron it would really pop in my opinion.

Apologizing:  does not always mean you are wrong and the other person is right.
It just means that you value your relationship more than your ego.

may try holly on the next one look at the new pics with the sheath I made

The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.
