what i need to put a burris ff3 on a super nova

buddy of mine bought a super nova. hes very intrigued on the ff3 on my 870 and wants to put one on his super nova. I have mine directly mounted to a 336. what is best setup for mounting a ff3 to the super nova. can I have a mount build and have a machinist directly drill and tap that mount to fit the ff3. or do most people just go with weaver or picatinny bases?

I can't speak for the Super Nova but I mounted my FF3 on my Nova the  same way you did your 870.   I drilled a tapped the receiver for the 336 mount.  I'm very happy with this set up.
