I've got a 3", Ithaca Mod. 37 which Mark Banner sleeved to .665 back in 1985, which produced really good patterns w/ the Activ 3", 2 1/4oz, 5's, and accounted for the demise of a bunch of turkeys. With that said, I evaluated the "new" Federal Premium Tungsten-Iron loads and wasn't impressed, got some of the Remington Hevi-Shot 3", 1 1/2oz, 5's and 6's and never went back to lead turkey loads. I hunted w/ the "old" Activ's about 4 years ago and killed a gobbler w/ them for "old times sake", and had forgotten how hard they kicked when I patterned them and then when I hunted. For those turkey hunters who say, "I've never felt the recoil when shooting at a turkey", they need to shoot a turkey w/ a light 12 gauge and the 2 1/4oz Activ's.
