polishing barrel

Hello all new here and have a question will polishing my barrel change my point of impact or just tighen up my patterns.Oh I forgot to say I am using lead #5 HV 3 inch winchester

It shouldn't change POI.  Just make sure you tighten your barrel when putting barrel back on.
