I had the pleasure to chase turkeys this weekend with The Roaring 20s co-member Surehuntalot on his club near Mendenhall , MS. I was forewarned by him and others at the club that the birds down there were weird, but I didn't listen. We were in on birds every day and every one of them would gobble at our calls, come to within 100 yards and then walk away gobbling over their shoulders. They are a frustrating flock that are hell bent on torturing the hunters that dare to pursue them.
Surehuntsalot has two of these devils on the books right now that bear testimony to his abilities and persistence as a turkey hunter. Please afford him all due respect for what he has accomplished!
