Missed a danged ol' good'un on Sunday and I was curious if he will be back or will he leave the farm he is on?  I have never shot and missed one before and tried to rehunt it.

Sometimes I will change calls on a turkey that has been shot at , or we have busted.

Did the same thing saturday, 20 yard chip shot, He stuck his head up about 3 inches over the crest of the ridge and I shot over him, I'm sick, 1st one I've missed in a long time and have killed a bunch with that shot but I'll be back in there after him Thursday.

I called in a nice gobbler for my BIl. He shot it in the left side of the head. When I skinned it out I found copper plated shot under its right wing, and when I removed the fan ,what looked like #4 lead shot fell out on the floor.Needless to say he had been shot twice before we got him.

Thanks guys, I was not sure if he would stick around or not.  I did not make a call on this bird, did the old Mohican sneak and surprised him and his ladies.
