Anyone seen over half the hull of a turkey load melt when fired? What would this be a sign of?

Single occurrence or multiple? I haven't had that happen but know of two folks who had shells fizz, melt in the chamber when attempted to be fired. Figure it was a problem with bad, impure or improper powder charges.

More specifics? Was this a factory load? Sounds like possible bad powder. I somewhat recall reading of instances where impure or contaminated (partially wet powder) has melted shells. Not exactly clear on this, but I think some of the powder ignites, maybe enough to fire the load but remainder of the powder burns in the shell???
