Thank you gentlemen. Anyways my gun shoots high with most turkey loads. As I said it's an M1 benelli. The chokes I have are a truglo SSX and a terror .655. The terror shoots really good patterns but are about 12 to 18 inches high and right about 6 to 9 inches. The .643 SSX doesn't shoot as good a pattern but it shoots very close to poa, only about 4 to 6 inches high. I just mailed it off to Mike Orlen to have it opened to .655. I'll see how that does and will post it if it improves. What are you mobile choke guys shooting, choke and shells?
I'm not a huge fan of scopes and red dots but if i cant find a load choke combo that shoots where it's aimed then I may end up with rifle sights on it. These turkey guns sure can be a pain in the keister. I guess I'd have to say my first turkey gun was probably the easiest to set up. It was an 835 with a UNPORTED 24" barrel and a od green stock. It was called the Viking model. It came with a 28 " ported barrel but I traded the barrel at a gun show for the no ported one. When I bought it all I did was put a gobbling thunder .680 in it and patterned it. Shot just a tad low but was very consistent with 3.5" supreme #5s.
