By and large they are just fine. Some of their models that have/had a rubber finish on them had some problems with that finish becoming sticky.

The optics quality is normally very good and they hold their zero well.

At one time, they were priced well below normal market price for the quality. The last models that I saw had a price that better reflected the quality. They were more expensive.

Thanks,
Clark

Had a bsa red dot on my 835 for at  least a dozen years. Just put it on my boys 20 gauge. Still works like a champ and I shoot 3.5 loads.

I have had a couple on shotguns and rifles, the only issue I ever had was the rubber coating becoming very sticky, not sure why that happens, but other then that I have no complaints

A friend of mine bought a BSA red dot scope for his Rem. 1187 few years ago. We were patterning our guns at that time, and after taking only 5 shots with his gun, that Red dot scope fell apart!!! Being there first hand and seeing that, I would pass on BSA scopes and Red dot sights. After spending a good amount on a good shotgun, don't chince out with cheap optics.
