FF2 or 3 with protector users?

Having a little issue with the sight shifting on the protector mount. The four studs that protrude through the protector are not long enough to recess into the sight itself. Noticed after firing a few 3.5" shells that the sight is sliding a little on the protector. What configuration are yall using. Mount, rubber gasket, protector, rubber gasket, then sight? And yes I torque down the sight to 18 inch pnds. I also use thread locker(blue).

Thanks

For my ff3 on a sbe2 I used the protector mount...gasket...sight.  I have had no issues with mine over several years

I havnt had any issues either. 336 mount, gasket, protector, then sight with loc tite blue. The gun actually hit the ground today with scratches on barrel and protector... Still holds zero.
This was one of the new one and will post pics on another thread.
My heart stopped for a minute when the swivel on my strap broke. But no movement and still holding zero.

I assume that the studs don't protrude all the way through the protector and the sight just lays on the protector and the only thing holding the sight are the two screws?

Thanks

Yes, concerning at first but after today I can tell u it didn't matter on mine. Maybe try JB weld.
Having trouble with pics but I'll have someone post them.

I contacted Burris about issue I am having and they sent me several gaskets, and a metal shim that is textured. It is pretty thin and looks like it wouldn't allow the sight/protector to move. I may just give it another try using the shim under the protector and a gasket under the sight and loc tight on the mounting screws. I just dislike using up the high dollar loads just to check the sight but I will not hunt with something I cant trust. I have been advised to do away with the protector but I like the added security and would really like  to keep using it. I will say that I am having the issue with this on a SpeedBead mount. I also have a SBE that I had Drilled/tapped by Rob Roberts, using a 336 mount, protector, gasket and then sight and have not noticed an issue with poi change.

Thanks
