Fastfire 3 base screw question

What size screws mount the 336 base to the receiver? I'm going to tap mine myself. Just want to verify the size tap I need

I tapped my own and used 8-40.

So the larger diameter screws that come with the base are 8-40!

I can't say for certain that the ones that come with it are 8-40.  The ones that came with that base were too short for my Benelli Nova so I had to order longer ones and I chose 8-40...being that I had the 8-40 tapp already.

Yes they are 8-40 and with my Mossberg and a Weaver rail they were too short as well.........
