Quote from: Dan Mallia;1088355537Season started up this past weekend in California. I had found a bird and went in early and setup my blind the day before. The next morning, I went in early and got settled into the blind. The morning darkness and quiet was cut by a thunderous gobble that was close, I was worried that the bird may have seen me put out the decoys or sneak into the blind. He flew down in the other direction and my concern increased. "had he seen me, he had to see me". I gave a couple of soft yelps and he thundered off and started in my direction. He crested a hill and went into full strut, headed for the DSD Jake that was about to breed a hen......... When he got to 7 yards I drew and let the bullhead tipped arrow fly and had my first bird of the season down. The video was shot with a GoPro and isn't as quality as I'd hoped.https://youtu.be/E1T0UDHJqbg18lbs, 8.5" beard, 3/4" spurs
