Crystal screamer

Great sounding call!  Is that a wood soundboard in these calls?  I've always Loved wood sound boards.  To me, the wood just makes for a more authentic hen sound.  I see they come with a carbon striker or IPE.  What striker is the Best with this call IYO?

It's been a while since I picked up my crystal screamer from David but I want to say he said the soundboard was painted crystal. I prefer the ipe on less humid days but the carbon tipped striker grips better on the more humid/rainy days.
