For the folks using this choke in a 20 ga, are you buying the extended tube or the barrel length tube for best results?  I noticed they offer both options.

FL-Boss

I hunt with their extended tube.....Carlson is still my go to choke..and I have tried them all.   I was thinking about trying one of their flush tubes just for fun.   The flush Carlson does real nice in my 12ga.

Personally I'm not into the super tight "wow" effect when it comes to real world hunting.  I want something a little more open.

They are pretty cheap, you may want to try them both.

I've tried both and the extended is what you want. The flush does not have the tight core you are looking for.  Now, that does not apply as much with TSS but with Fed HW's...get the extended

I just bought the extended .575 have not tried it out yet. Gonna see if it puts up more numbers than my Hastings .566. My pure gold .570 doesn't do very good with the Fed HW 7's.

it's not the harvest,it's the chase

I don't believe there is much of a difference, I used the Carlson's 575" and put holes in my pattern then switched to the Carlson's 585" and more even pattern to 35 yards, don't seem I can use anything tighter than 585" to get farther range but only use two other chokes tighter than the 585" so who knows.

Another extended here, nice patterns out of most loads tested.

Extended .575 with Fed HW 7's in my Beretta is very effective puts 155 at 40 yds.
If I had a dollar for every gobbler I thought I fooled I'd be well off!

I wanted an extended but found a flush one cheap. I got it to try and I kinda like it. It does about 120 at 40 yards, which isn't the tightest but, I like the 20". I shoot a single bead and it works well for my use in a 26" 870.
