what do like to see in a hunting show?

i reckon since i started the other thread ill throw my 2 cents out. i think the show meat eater is alright but i mostly youtube videos. id say if these shows would stop pimping every little thing they use and put some respectful hunters on that arent calling turkeys thunder chickens and deer freak nasty or some other nonsense and that dont act like a complete nut they could be watchable. id also mention id like to see them to explain the methods they use.

I like seeing someone give respect to the animal they take. Don't see that too often. Mostly just somebody sitting on a pile of bait while advertising for their sponsors. I do like the very few shows about bowfishing,  which is my second outdoor love.

Right there with you, once turkey is over I am bowfishing all summer until it gets to bow season!

I will echo what others have said about seeing regular every day guys.  Primos early videos and Dick Kirby set the standard for me years ago.
I have all but given up on hunting shows today. If I couldn't call better than some of those guys I would edit my calling out of the finished product.  Only thing worse is guys sitting on decoys and deer hunting them with a bow and then carrying on about the elite status they have achieved.
By far my favorite show on tv today is Mudbum Boys. Bunch of regular guys not out to prove anything other than they know how to have a good time, don't take themselves too seriously, and engage in a wide variety of outdoor pursuits.

I like to see more real world turkey hunting shows where they hunt public land and focus more on the hunter ethics and curticy of public land hunting than they do the harvest. Public land hunting is getting to be a joke anymore. I guess it's just one of them things you have to deal with when you hunt public land. Nucklehead newbs!
