Gaffney- Union SC question

I have a friend in Gaffney (@Limestone) that is a non-hunter (buddy's GF) and was thinking about making the trek down there to knock on some doors next weekend. A friend of hers mentioned that there is a lot of Public opportunities down there... I know public doesn't open until 4/1, but would like to get down there before then on some private land. I posted in the Hunt Swap section for a Eastern Shore of MD waterfowl hunt in exchange for hunting down there. I am an Outfitter here in MD for waterfowl but can offer a turkey swap as well. You guys are a plethora of knowledge, and any SC help would be appreciated.

Doubtful you will have much lick knocking on doors. It is possible to get lucky but around here connections are what usually gets you access. There is good public but do not get your hopes up on private without knowing someone with land
