Looking to mount red dot in sons 20ga. And not clear exactly what all is needed other than sight.
Base?
Rail?
Loc Tite?

Certainly open to all suggestions as I have always shot beads.  However, my  son  missed a gobbler the last day of the season and so I have had too much time to think about it.  Haha

Long story short, I think with this type of sight he will bury the next one, as he has Done very well shooting scoped deer rifle this year killing 3 deer and 2 hogs.

Depends. Is the gun drilled and tapped for a mount?

If not then you need a competent gun smith to do that first.

After that a section of rail mount (might want to take that to the gun smith for measuring where to drill/tap)

I would only use blue loctite.  If you use RED you will have to heat it up a few hundred degrees with a torch to get it to release

The TRS 25 is an excellent choice by the way.

This is a link for the rail that fits on some mossy's to give you an idea of the rail segment. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Maverick-88-Shotgun-Mossberg-500-590-835-Picatinny-Weaver-Scope-Sight-Rail-Mount-/331535549448?hash=item4d310f0408:g:ep4AAOSwBahVCLQH

I just put this same set up on my sons Super Bantam. Worked great.

My son has a Mossberg 510 mini, and the gun comes drilled and tapped for a scope base.
Just look up the number for the base you need, and you'll be fine.
I know that the 500's, 835's and 535's all have the same hole configuration.
All you will need for the TR-25 sight is a Weaver or Picitanny rail.
Blue locktite only!
