Bunch of good books to read out there.  Depends if you like hunting stories or more "how to's".  For management and biology you cant beat Lovett Williams.  Somebody mentioned Roger Latham too.  Some of his ideas from the 50's have changed now but the difference is interesting.  Couple books by Wayne Bailey are solid.  Dickson's "The Wild Turkey" is packed with good info.  Lots of choices.  Heck...read em all.

You can get Hookspur's book on Amazon but if you get it direct from him you can get it signed.  Same $$.  A pm here should reach him.... ;)

For those that have shown interest, anybody that wants to order Tom Weddle's book "Turkey Tails and Tales from Across the USA" can order directly from him for a signed copy:
Paperbacks are $25 and hardbacks $35. He will take care of postage. Checks or money orders are best, sent to Tom Weddle @ PO Box 7281, Bloomington, IN 47407.
Again, this is a really well-written, informative, and entertaining book.

If you start with McIlhenny's (Jordan') book, "The Wild Turkey and Its Hunting" and stop there, you.will be ahead of the curve.  If you must read further, Kenny Morgan's books contain some real gems of wisdom.  Kenny's copy of McIlhenny's book was my first book learning experience and I was too dumb to understand it's lessons then.  I've learnt.
"[T]he changing environment will someday be totally and irrevocably unsuitable for the wild turkey.  Unless mankind precedes the birds in extinction, we probably will not be hunting turkeys for too much longer."  Ken Morgan, "Turkey Hunting, A One Man Game
