On behalf of Russell and myself, we would like to thank everyone who turned out to help make this show a success!!! There was a lot of work that went into this show!! From the call makers and knife makers to the guys that volunteered to place 100 plus flyers out and about, to the staff at Unicoi and most of all to you guys that turned out to support the call makers and knife makers!!! If you look back, this show was put into motion in January when I asked for you guys thoughts as to how to bring these shows back. I received numerous inputs as to what it would take to revive them.
All of this was taken into consideration! I am thankful for your input!! This show started back in the seventies as just a group of guys gathering to display and trade their calls. It then grew into the GA State Convention. After being moved around numerous times, we felt it fitting to bring it back to Unicoi as the Unicoi Call Makers Show. This was a humdinger of a show back in its day with people coming from all over to attend this show. This show was built around the call makers themselves, and will continue to do so as long as we have anything to do with it!! We continue to have suggestions thrown at us and we take every one of them into consideration! We consider all of them and weight each one out to figure what is best for this show. Believe me when I say I've put a lot of thought into this show. Friday and Saturday finds me in my shop building calls and I can assure you, this show has consumed my mind for the last year, since January 11th, 2015. The 2017 show is already consuming it!! Thanks again to everyone that participated!! Hope to meet even more of you then!!
