my stepdad just paid 24.99 for a box of hv 3.5 2oz no.5.  I tried telling him just to buy the hv winchesters but he wont quit shooting these dang shells

being the good son i am, i went ahead and ordered 3 boxes for him

12 3.5" 2 oz no5's with shipping to indiana it was only 28 dollars not too bad

FWIW, the shells at that bargain price are the older Grand Slam Turkey® with the Triple-Plus® wad column - NOT the current Mag-Shok® turkey ammunition with the Flitecontrol® wad.

That's what I use the turkey loads that didn't pattern so well (i.e. Kent® Ultimate Diamond shot®) for. Alas we now have to use steel/non-toxic an all WW pheasant release sites.

they better be the flitecontrol wads when I called the store today and spoke with customer service the guy said that they were.  Considering I bought 3 boxes of them for my step dad as a suprise and had to pay 7 dollars for shipping to indy. Ill be pretty po'd if they aint

If you ordered the ones in the link above then they are NOT the ones with the FCW. I know because I ordered 4 boxes of the #5's from them a few weeks ago. They were exactly what I was looking for but I have yet to find a choke that will pattern them worth a flip out of my 870.

one i ordered were on front page of store ad.  not from the website or online store.  I actually called the store to make sure that they were the flitecontrol wads.

The ones on the front page of the store add do show the FCW on the box. However, if you look at the model # of those shells on the front page of the store add they say FE-PT135 (the same as the ones I bought and posted in the link above). I have shot a few of those and can promise you they don't have the FCW. I think whoever put that pic in the store add made a mistake. The box shown in the store link is accurate. I hope for your sake I'm wrong but I have my doubts.
