SBE2 shim help

Has anyone had any luck changing shims to move the POI? My gun shoots low right bad with Indian creek and low with jelly head. I don't like rifle sights or scopes and im having a hard time understanding how the shims will change anything if I'm squared up on the rib. Thanks for any help I'd sure like to go back to shooting this gun

It definitely helps. I had the same issue with a m2 and it helped. It's hard to figure out how though when u are looking straight down the barrel....I was skeptical too.

When you raise the comb of your stock, you raise the POI. Look at the shims you have. you'll want to use the one that is the thickest at the bottom. That will elevate the stock/comb.

Here's one that discusses the drop at the comb and the effect of the POI in a pretty simple and straightforward manner. When you raise the comb, you raise the POI. I ff you lower the comb, you lower the POI. Put pretty simply here http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=215265

The simple method outlined in the article shows what happens when you add material to the comb. It's a good example and easy to understand.

It is one that can be confusing but once you get your head around it, it makes a lot of sense.
