I CAME ACROSS THIS AND I LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYBODY ELSE HAS INFO ABOUT IT

noisy box call that seems to sound like a flock of juvenile hens pecking their way through a wheat field

Just saw it on FB yesterday. Only seems to be one report out about it, but I did check and saw the Cabelas stock took a substantial climb when the news broke.

I saw it in the news the other day. Only it was Cabela's buying Bass Pro??

I don't see how this would benefit the consumer , with such a huge retailer with no real competition , the manufacturers will be at a disadvantage

selling to the folks at bps, it will be a take it....or leave it situation , similar to doing business with walmart ....if you do business with walmart they can rough you up real bad on many aspects including returns

Out of the two retailers ....cabelas in my opinion offers far superior hunting equipment

  OG .....DRAMA FREE .....

It seems to be more than a rumor. It would be a major acquisition and consolidation in the outdoor industry unlike any we've seen.

Thanks,
Clark

And probably not good for the consumer in the end.  One mega-chain can affect prices more than two large chains competing.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

What a shame for the customers of Cabelas. Cabelas service and products are head and shoulders above Bass Pro. I went to Bass Pro in Atlantic City and had such a difficult time trying to buy things and get service that I left in anger. Man, I hope this isn't so...

I refuse to buy anything from Bass Pro. . . . I'll go elsewhere, regardless of the cost.
