Top of a metal fencepost sticking out of the water down my road. Luckily I built my house on a hill. So far just a window blown out in the barn that flooded the tortoise room.

My home town has gotten 15+" and there is still a light rain. Luckily all of our family is in the country and not had any water coming inside the houses. Yards are full. Thank God it was not worse.

We were fortunate here in Catawba, SC. No rain since around lunch yesterday.

Anyone in Carolina need help, I've got Tues., Weds., and Thurs. off from work.  I can get my tenth grader out of school and my 20-year-old is available, too.  We can offer help, a chainsaw, and a generator to anyone who needs us.

My prayers go out to All of you in South Carolina.  We received 5-10 inches of rain, here in Eastern NC, on Thursday and Friday and we're suppose to get another 2-3 tonight through Tuesday.  County schools are closed tomorrow due to high water on local roads.  Not near as bad here, as it is in SC but I would gladly send some of what we are getting to those who need some.  I thank God, Joaquin didn't come up the coast or we would have seen devastation not seen around here in a long time.

Been seeing some of the videos. Hang in and be safe.

Clark,
Greenville dodged the bullet this time around. We were very fortunate to not have damage here in Laurens county. Highest I've ever seen the area flooded in the last 25 years. Columbia is having a time of it right now and it's still happening.

We were in Edgefield for the World Championship Still Target Shoot on Friday. You can read about what happened there here http://allaboutshooting.com/article_info.php?articles_id=789&osCsid=g7ZFIdRvHdSvhpGUxLCYQ1

We were very fortunate to get to Simpsonville late on Friday evening and miss the terrible weather that we'd have hit later on Saturday or Sunday morning.

All of us who shoot that event owe Chris Piltz, the organizer, a real debt of gratitude for having the courage to call it early Friday afternoon. It took some real courage to do that, since it had never been done in 22 years but he made the right choice.

It's dry here today and hopefully we'll have some sunshine and breezes (not the 20 mph winds of 40 mph gusts) to help dry things out here.

We're very thankful.

Thanks again,
Clark
