question about winchester 30-06

as the title says i have a question about a winchester rifle i will be inheriting from my grandfather apparently it was my great grandfathers and has only been shot a handful of times he told me it is a single shot bolt action the only bolt action single shot i knew of was the 67 .22 im hoping someone here could shed some light on the gun my grandfather knows very little about guns so it may not be a single shot but thats what ive been told it is i appreciate any advice yall can give
