Will be making a drip to South Dalota again this spring (7th yr in a row) on April 21. The following week Im wanting to plan a stop in another state as well. Right now thinking Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming or maybe even New Mexico. I know some of these states most likely could go with national forest or see if I can maybe trade a landowner with maple syrup and honey (what I do for a living) for a turkey. Just want some input from others on your thoughts?

Nebraska and Oklahoma have a lot of birds and are great places to hunt.

Nebraska or Kansas.  I'd like to hunt OK someday but it's always a long way out of any route I seem to be on in the spring.

When I turkey hunt I use a DSD decoy

Go to Mississippi, seems like many of them go to the Midwest, so MS should be empty!

Go to the state closest to SD with a different subspecies. Two birds.. one stone. No pun intended

Looks as if you have mentioned the states with Rios.  I've hunted Kansas.  It's a beautiful state with rolling hills and plenty of Rios.  But Nebraska is right below you.  Texas has always been on my list of GO TO as well.  So many choices!  Good Hunting to you no matter which state you choose.
