Watched Ol Tom fly down this morning.  He has been a cantankerous SOB. Have had him inside 100 yards 3 times. I should have given up on him and moved on, but we only get better by playing the best.  I repositioned on him 3 times today and he would not move that last 75 yards, just like the last 3 times I messed with him.  As I as moving one last time and the clock was winding down, I encountered another hunter heading for him-coyote.  Too fast of a view for a shot and I still had hopes of getting him.  Oh well, he won and hopefully I can get on him next year.

But since I am just not satisfied with the game this year, I think we are heading to overtime.  I got an invite in GA on a ranch, so I will make the drive (I live just south of the line - it is 15 miles from my office, so I can do some early morning hunts before work).

Good luck everyone still hunting and hope all who are finished had a fun season - I know I did.
Psalms 118v24: This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Hey. That's tough luck. But that's turkey hunting. And you know what, it happens too all. And in the long run, it only made you a better turkey hunter. Good luck brother

Genesis 1:26
Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

Where are you headed to in Georgia?

Don't feel bad, I've had yotes bust my last two hunts. Worst part was both were just out of range for me to do anything about it. It happens, and I'm sure it won't be the last time.
