Shared Nest?

[Spring Creek Calls]

Walked up on 2 hens this morning in KS which seemed to be sharing a nest. One was sitting on it and the other just a few feet away. The nest held 22 eggs evenly split by a slightly different color variation.

I would put a trail camera on it just to see if any thing bothers it.
