GobbleNut

In every turkey hunting situation, there are variable outside of a hunters abilities that very often determine whether a hunt will be successful or not.  Success is often determined by nothing more than what gobbler a guy is hunting at any given time.

There are gobblers out there that will come to just about anything we do in terms of calling,...and there are those that are not going to come to any kind of calling, no matter what it is.  And there are those that might come if you say the right thing at the right time to them,...or will go the other way if you say the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Some of us have the luxury of hunting in places where we can choose to hunt a different bird each time out if we want,...and some must hunt the same gobblers day after day.  In the first instance, success many times comes from just moving from one gobbler to the next until you find one that wants to play the game.  In the second, the trick is learning from each encounter, making good decisions based on that learning process, and not making the same mistakes over and over again.
