I bought the ALPS and also have the Gobbler Lounger. I've noticed pros and cons to each. The gobbler lounger is a bit easier to carry in, has a higher back support, you can actually wear your vest and drop your seat cushion down for a little extra comfort while sitting in it. I don't care for the structure of it though. It's made like those fold out camping chairs, and while it doesn't give you that uncomfortable pain in the back of your leg like a camping chair will, I've had those chairs wear out pretty quick in the past. The plastic feet can break after a bit. Also, the back of the chair is black while the front (that you cover up) is camo. IMO they should have made the back camo for better concealment. The seat is very comfortable, but if you have to reposition yourself a little bit for a shot, it can be difficult as it keeps you in a lounging position.
The ALPS chair is also very comfortable, but not tall enough up the back to wear your vest. You'll need to put it on the ground beside you, which can sometimes be easier to access calls anyway. The strap is much better than the lounger's, with a shoulder pad on it. It sits you a little higher off the ground than the lounger leaving small movements and adjustments in your seat much easier and less noticeable. It has camo front and back and the structure of the chair is extremely sturdy and durable. It is more bulky to pack in but it's not like it's extremely cumbersome or anything. However if you have to walk through thick brush to get to your spot, it may get hung up.
All in all I made my decision and purchase the ALPS chair to use. With shipping I got it for $40. After seeing the Cabelas Lounger on sale, went ahead and got one of those as well for $25. Both are very comfortable, but while on the ground hunting, I give a slight edge to the ALPS for the ability to make slight movements much easier since you're a bit more upright. Obviously you can't really move when a gobbler is coming in, but if he ambushes you from the wrong side and there is cover between you and him, you can shift your pointed position in the ALPS much easier.
