So I'm wanting to bring along an old family gun this spring to try to put a gobbler down. For nostalgic reasons alone. It's an old 1148, but I did have briley install their thin wall choke on it. But the tightest one I have is a light mod.
I'm gonna call them tomorrow and see if they can make me a tighter one. Should I go with full or extra full? I shouldn't have to worry about running lead shot through a extra full choke on an older barrel like that, should I?
Also, it looks like my best bet at factory loads are 1 oz 6's at 1200 fps. That should be fine I would think. Just gotta get em in close.
